While it is our preference to save and rehabilitate homes whenever possible, when the Walston Group team purchased the structure that was formerly located at 1510 N. Franklin, it quickly became apparent that it would have to be removed due to severe structural issues and the presence of asbestos and lead based paint. We finished construction on the new home in 2017, and took a more modern design approach to the typical two-story home. While maintaining the roof pitch, scale and general massing of surrounding homes, we updated exterior finishes and broke up the roofline for a more contemporary appearance.
